Ron Williams, son of James William Williams who was killed in action on the 16 March1945 has created a lovely tribute to his father in the form of a memorial book. It is a fascinating store of records, photos and and papers, such as his navigator’s log book, with a moving narrative. It is unfortunately too large to upload to our Memories of War pages but if any member would like to see a copy please contact Sue McGuire – Membership Secretary on lhsmembership878@gmail.com and I will send you a copy. Ron is very keen for it to be seen by as many people as possible. James went from bell boy at the Athenaeum to cinema projector and later manager at the Adelphi theatre and the Futurist. There are some very interesting mementos of these places.
