Clayton, Ann. "Chavasse Double VC".  Biography of Noel Chavasse, Medical Officer to the 10th Battalion, the King's (Liverpool Regiment) who was twice awarded the Victoria Cross (the last one posthumously) for valour during the 1st World War. Published by Pen & Sword Books, [1992]

Hussey, John. "Cruisers, Cotton and Confederacy" Cruisers, Cotton and Confederates, donated by the author, this new 200 page plus paper- back gathers together some of the many disparate strands of the story of the American War between the States, 1861-65, and the impact that it had Liverpool and Lancashire in a very readable way. Schwarz, Suzanne  "Slave Captain, The Career of James Irving in the Liverpool Slave Trade", A revised and enlarged edition of Suzanne's earlier book of the same name, published in 1995) RRP of £19.99, donated by Liverpool University Press [2008]

D'Annunzio, Debra. "Liverpool's Italian Families", a pre-publication version of Debra's labour of love about her own and some of the other families who, over the last two centuries came from Italy to make their mark on and their new home in, Liverpool. No publication details. Donated by author.
